Terms of Service

Last updated: March 17, 2026

1. Acceptance

By using ShipSafe (“the Service”), you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

2. The Service

ShipSafe provides security scanning, monitoring, and developer tools. The CLI is free to use. Paid tiers (Pro, Team) provide additional features as described on the pricing page. We may update features, pricing, or availability at any time.

3. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for the code you write and deploy. ShipSafe is a tool to help find security issues — it does not guarantee your code is vulnerability-free. You should not rely solely on ShipSafe for security compliance.

4. License Keys

License keys are for your use only. Do not share, redistribute, or resell license keys. We reserve the right to revoke keys that violate this policy.

5. Payment & Refunds

Paid plans are billed monthly. You can cancel at any time — you’ll retain access until the end of your billing period. Refunds are available within 14 days of initial purchase.

6. Limitation of Liability

ShipSafe is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to security breaches, data loss, or downtime. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

7. Open Source Components

@shipsafe/monitor is MIT licensed. The ShipSafe CLI and API are proprietary. Third-party tools (Semgrep, Gitleaks, Trivy) are subject to their own licenses.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via the website.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, United States.
